I have been suffering with pain in my shoulder and arm for quite a while and nothing I was doing was helping. I had gotten massages, was using a theragun, heat, exercises from physical therapy, etc-it was so frustrating because nothing was working! Then I found Sugarstone Spa! My therapist was incredibly knowledgeable about all the systems working in the body: She accurately evaluated my symptoms and recommended a totally different approach to treatment. I had been doing all the wrong things! After only 1 massage I felt incredible relief and had a great increase in my range of motion. She also gave me exercises and movements to do until I have the next massage- It has been 5 days and the constant pain from movement is drastically reduced. It is a game changer when you finally find someone who knows so much and is effective in relieving your pain!
I just started coming here for my post op massages but felt like I should leave a review already! I had 360 lipo and arm lipo 5/18. I was nervous to get massages here in jersey since my massage lady in Florida (where I had my surgery) was so rough and I had some complications from my surgery. Lysa made me feel so comfortable and really knew everything about everything. She answers all of my questions and concerns about my complications and really takes her time with problem areas. I also really appreciate her not being too rough and acknowledging the signs of my skin being irritated and not pushing the limits but rather trying another technique that my body reacts to better. I am excited to see my results after the end of my massages and will still do a few each month after my swelling subsides. Lysa is very professional and so kind. 10/10 recommend!
I never ever leave reviews but for Lysa this needs to be heard. Her hands are truly blessed. I came in with so much fluid on my knee. I suffer from lipedema and she has been doing my mld massage for almost 2 years. I feel so much better when I leave. My knee would hurt so bad but after she is finished I feel 100% better. I feel a instant relief.
I came in for an aromatherapy session to relax. A few mins into the session, Lysa began asking questions regarding my lymph nodes in my upper left arm (recaping on the information I provided during my intake). After two bouts with breast cancer and 11 years of not having funtional use of my left arm, it wasn't til my session with Lysa that I realized I had learned to live with pain unecessarily. She asked if we could do some lymphatic drainage instead of what I had booked and it was the best thing that could have happened! Myself and my oncologist couldn't be happier with my drastic improvement.
I've been to Sugarstone Spa on three different occasions and all three times exceeded my expectations. From my therapist massage techniques to her overall professionalism. My last visit was for prenatal and I definitely have to say it was one of the best massages I received in a long time. The patience and rhythm were perfect. Needless to say, I fell asleep on her table about 10-15 mins into my session. I would definitely recommend this business so that you could write your own testimony!
